road trip no five =D
Highlights of each venue:
1. mt rupaehu - the guys all went snow boardings on the mountain. rachel and i took the chair lift, brave the cold wind to the top of the mountain to take alot alot alot of repetive pictures (dun ask me why) hehe.. went to two coffee place, both were really preetie.
2. palmerston north - ohs.. i love this place. went to the wind mill. the whole town eletricity is generated by the wind mills. got to meet nigel. besides the whole feel and look of the small town, there is many many good food there to eat. ate at the fishermens table first night. my fish was so tender and got no fishy smell. then next day ate stone grill. interesting to cook meat on the stone. and of course ice cream. i ate countless ice cream. almost one per day. sometimes twice daily. really goes to explain the excess -- around my stomach. haiz.. plus got 2 really really cool christian book shop here.
3. wellington - this is shopping paradise. with many many cafes. ate so many wonderful desserts here. but this place is super super windy. so didnt really like it too much. but we discover a really wonderful shop- honey hive. sell really cool honey ice cream and also alot of preetie honey. different kind. which i bough heaps for souveniors.
4. napier - art city. nice buildings. tats it.
5. taupo- got to meet the love of my life. his name is jack. he is so so handsome. and got a really strong body. he brought me to a place with wonderful scenary where i took pictures. he carried me on his back and he ran- so so fun. this is a picture of jack.
common things about all these places:
1. i bought post cards from all these places
2. they have ice cream stores and cafes (places that i utterly detest at the moment, cos they make me greedy)
good things that happened:
1. meet a new friend- NIGEL! haha.. he studies at palmerston north. brought us to dinner, bubble tea and supper. we ate non stop for the night. i am amazed how much we can all contain. there was cheese popiah. mmmm really nice. it was selling in the van near his uni. then we visited the vet department and saw alot of bones of dead animals. the cutest was the chicken. hehe.. could not take pictures though, wat a pity.
2. met valerie!! it was soo soo goood. the 3 of us girls ditched the guys and we went shopping and talked the night away. we had a really good time building each other up. talked cock, sing song and also very encouraged. it was a good night, was it not rach? hehe.. thanking God for good girl friends.
3. managed to get alot of shopping done.
4. saw great beautiful nature.
5. stayed in beautiful places
not so good things that happened
1. i realize that everytime i get to a new place, it takes me about a few hours before i feel comforatble in the place. although the places are all about 1-2 hours drive away, they all had a really different feel. i really quite slow to adapt to things lar.
2. had to sit in uncomfortable seats in the car. haiz.. cant be helped la. now still suffering from back ache
3. and some other problems that is a big fat SECRET!
its good to be back home in hobson. as renyu says, its home away from home. but home nevertheless. i love my bed room its really my sanctuary.
many people bdaes are coming up. many many.. must start preparing le.
two last things
1. watched this play- romantic comedy 'then comes love' hmmm.. was suppose to go with a whole group of people. but everyone pang seh in the end. hmmm.. then left me alone with tae gyu. hmmm.. abit ironic haha.. but it was fun and also farnie.
2. really really really like dunkin donuts!!! why dun have in singapore. i should bring it over with me men. :)
